I've been out a few times. I am actually only looking for milks. I have seen plenty of garter snakes, spotted salamanders and painted turtles.

I found 3 milks last year right in my yard in Casco. I have been poking around a bit the past month and havent seen any yet. I have only found a few male garters out looking for the lucky ladies. I am starting to wonder if the ladies are still in hibernation. It might make sense that the milks still are seeing they are more active at night and last night was a COLD one !
