 First frog calls of 2008
I heard my first frog calls for 2008 today =) It sounded like at least 4 frogs in a low boggy spot on our property.
I'm not good at ID'ing frog calls, but we're going to listen to a CD we have & try to ID them this spring. Should be great fun!! I'm going to try to take good tadpole photos this year. We had a few different types in the vernal ponds. I'd REALLY like to get a photo of the larval stage of a salamander.

I heard them down on the coast a couple days ago. Lots of peepers and toads. I live inland, and haven't heard them around my area yet.

I didnt get a chance to go look for them, but last night in Bangor the peepers were out in force. I was close to one of the bogs off stillwater and they were making noise all night long.
I as well heard a few other types of frogs but not sure which they were.
