Group I am currently looking for a few pictures of some local Maine animals. I am hoping people can help me out.

The better the quality the more interested I am, and as well digital form is prefered as well.

Hi Bob,

Here is a link to a picture of a Blue-spotted salamander from southeastern New Hampshire. I label it as a Jeff/blue-spotted hybrid because in NH it is virtually impossible to tell if it is a pure species or a hybrid without genetics.

Here's a picture of a blue spotted salamander collected in Bangor City Forest last spring. I brought home a couple small masses of spotted salamander and wood frog eggs, and evidently some spring peeper and blue spotted salamander eggs/larvae hitched a ride as well. Three salamanders made it through metamorphasis, this guy and two spotteds. Despite regular hand feedings (he comes out and begs for food if he sees me in the room) he ate the smallest of his cagemates over the winter and I'm pretty sure chewed the other one to death. So, not really a salamander's salamander, but at least he's good with people!

Well this wasn't exactly what I had in mind for catching milksnakes. I've been going out to my brother's land a couple of times a week without luck. This morning he called me to tell me he found a snake stuck to some duct tape on a box in his kitchen. I figured it was a milk. It took me a little over an hour to get the tape off with olive oil. The little guy was biting me half the time. By the end he was so upset he was biting the tupperware lid.
