Post Huge Canebrake rattler in Osceola Nat. Forest, Florida
Travis Cossette and I were road herping last night and came upon the biggest Canebrake Rattler he'd ever seen crossing the road. Here's a short YouTube video of Travis handling the snake with his snake hooks. Listen carefully for the buzzing rattler, which is going the entire time. We checked pics later and there were 18-19 segments in the rattle. I would estimate the snake was 4.5ft. and 5-7lbs. Enjoy!
