 Endangered species
Without posting WHERE as the section clearly states, how many people here have found an endangered species?
Also, how come the endangered species is allowed to roam free in the wild? Isn't it safer if they are put in captivity for natural care, predator relief and breeding purposes in order to diminish the "endangerment"? I'm not too knowledgeable in this field so I'm just trying to figure it out.

 Re: Endangered species
With the exception of the Blanding's Turtle, all of Maine's endangered reptiles and amphibians are common in most of their range. The goal of protecting endangered species is to preserve them in their native habitat. Collecting them for captive propagation is counterproductive to this, unless the wild population is critically threatened.
